It´s not often that highly concentrated pragmatism and artistic brilliance come together as they do with John Tejada. After more than ten years in the business he is among the most consistent and dedicated dance music producers. Tejada´s career has been an incomparable journey through the various styles of electronic (dance) music, with releases on labels ranging from early european IDM outlets such as Multiplex or A12, Seventh City and Moods & Grooves from Detriot, or German minimal imprints Playhouse and Poker Flat. Having contributed tracks for the second and third installments of ˜scape´s Staedtizism compilation series in 2002 and 2003, as well as for the ˜scape 5 year anniversary collection "But Then Again", he is now releasing his first 12" for the Berlin based label..

Tejada has never been about simply putting out material on this or that label. Instead, every one of his releases amounts to a subtle yet consistent futher development of a label´s particular sound. In this case "Eurotunnel" and "Calibration" are ingenious takes on ˜scape´s previous audio research. The sounds element used are unconventional and not what one might expect. Still, DJs will love these two dance tracks. Others may bring out the emotional heavy artillery in order to shock and awe the immobile onto the dancefloor Tejada proves himself to be a subtle yet unyielding seducer. s himself to be a subtle yet unyielding seducer.
