Welcome to ~scape, Jan Jelinek. So far, the Berlin-based producer´s release history includes four ep as Farben (on Klang Elektronik) as well as an album for Source Records under the pseudonym of Gramm. As hinted at by his contribution to the "staedtizism"- sampler on ~scape, he will now add the Stefan Betke/Pole-led label to his publishing platforms.Using his own name for the first time and with the aid of his sampler he developed an exclusive music discovery concept for the Jan Jelinek-ep, transforming 60s and 70s jazz sequences into spaceous arrangements with just a little tweak of the in-built modulation wheel function. Linear second-long loops, jazz chords and the index finger always on the trigger. A little twist, maximum impact. Three tracks and 22 minutes are not enough? The complementary album "loop-finding-jazz-records" will be released by ~scape in february 2001.
